Estate Agents for properties at Boknesstrand and Cannon Rocks
Boknesstrand and Cannon Rocks make up two quiet (out of season) holiday
hamlets situated more or less halfway between Port Elizabeth (126 km) and
East London (180 km) and Port Alfred is a 30 min (36 km) scenic drive from
Boknes.
There are approximately 800 plots in Boknes, with 300 houses, of which 150
house permanent residents. The numbers are almost the same for
Cannon Rocks, if you include extention 4, the new development that now
links Boknes and Cannon Rocks.
The Sunshine Coast boasts the highest number of sunny days in South
Africa, and the best of both worlds: The unique Eastern Cape valley
thicket, an amazingly diverse ecosystem and unspoilt, magnificent beaches.
The Boknes lagoon is a breeding ground for many bird species.
Watch the passing whales and dolphins from Kwaaihoek (3.5 km from Boknes)
where a replica of the Diaz Cross, which was found by prof. Eric Axelson
in 1937-38, can be seen, or hike the kilometres of pristine unspoilt
beaches at Cannon Rocks.
Boknes and Cannon Rocks are known as a fisherman's paradise, for both surf
and deep sea angling. Our area also offers malaria-free "Big 5"
private game reserves and nature reserves.
A Perfect Getaway for Families and Nature Lovers!
